John W. Rodgers, 70, Millington, retired dredge captain with the U.S. Engineers, died Sunday at Resthaven Nursing Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Millington and the American Legion, a veteran of World War II, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a Mason and a Shriner.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Geneva Rodgers; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Guy of Southaven; three sons, Billy Justice and David Justice, both of Memphis, and Ken Justice of Cayce, MS; two sisters, Mrs. Peggy Boatwright of Millington and Mrs. Lillian Rushing of Blytheville, AR; three brothers, Louis Rodgers of Memphis, Charles Rodgers of Seagraves, Texas, and Hueit Rodgers Jr. of LaCanada, CA; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
