"David Fulton, One of the best known citizens of Peach Bottom township, departed this life Tuesday, April 23rd, aged 79 years. His funeral takes place today, (Friday,) at 10 a.m. Interment at Slate Ridge.
"The deceased was born in Peach Bottom township, May 12, 1816, the son of John and Elizabeth Fulton. Five children survive: John H., Robert A., Mrs. S. P. Johnson, Mrs. Lizzie J. Geiger, and Miss Agnes M. Fulton, all of Peach Bottom township; also 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Robert and James Fulton, and Mrs. W. J. McCurdy, and Mrs. W. S. Evans.
"Mr. Fulton was for many years the able secretary of the Peach Bottom school board, and was at one time supervisor, but had filled no public office for some years before his death. Some 30 years ago he suffered severely from asthma for a long time, but nearly recovered and resumed his work upon the farm. Some months ago his old trouble returned and developed consumption, which proved the fatal malady. He was fully conscious to the last.
"He was a member of Slate Ridge Presbyterian church for 56 years, and his Christian faith remained firm unto the end."
