The Southern Illinoisan Tuesday, February 20, 1968 MRS. ABLETT DIES IN WEST FRANKFORT Mrs. Anna Ablett, 75, of 1413 E. Clark St., West Frankfort, was dead on arrival at Union Hospital West Frankfort, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. She was an apparent heart attack victim. Mrs. Ablett was born in West Frankfort Dec. 5, 1892, and lived there all her life. Her husband Arthur, died in 1954 (sic.) and a son Carl, was killed in World War II. She leaves sons, Elmer Downs and Lloyd Downs of West Frankfort, Donald Downs of Carbondale and Kenneth Downs of Anna; daughters, Mrs. Delmer Gray of West Frankfort and Mrs. John Joiner of Minneapolis, Minn.; a sister Mrs. Robert Stevens of Marion; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at East Fork Baptist Church, West Frankfort. The Rev. Freeman Wharry will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Union Funeral Home, West Frankfort.
