Mr. Nicklas was a former resident of Possum Kingdom Lake where he retired from Brazos River Authority in 1971. Mr. Nicklas was a charter member of First Baptist Church at Possum Kingdom Lake. He was preceded in death by two grandsons; five brothers; one sister.

Survived by his wife - Della Nicklas; four sons; two daughters; three sisters; one brother; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
