She was born in Verse, Wyoming; the daughter of Ralph A. and Mary L. C. (Faulkner) Ireton. She was reared and educated in Bill and Douglas.
On Feb. 20, 1958, she married John Patrick Gallagher in Douglas. She ranched, raised sheep, milked cows and broke her horses. Besides a love for ranching, Mrs. Gallagher carried mail on the rural Boxelder Route out of Glenrock for 24 years until she retired for health reasons.
Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Patrick Gallagher of Douglas; sons Michael L. Gallagher of Douglas, Matthew A. Gallagher of Douglas and Patrick R. Gallagher of Casper; sisters Alice E. Reed of Douglas, Faye J. Manning of Douglas, and Doris E. Menter of Douglas; brothers Ray R. Ireton of Cortez, Colo., Cecil E. Ireton of Douglas and Donald L. Ireton of Douglas; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
