Wife of William Budd, Civil War veteran of service in Company D, 103rd Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry.

Julie was born on Howe Island, Ontario Canada.

The sad tidings came to us Sunday morning that our much respected and loved neighbor, Mrs. Wm.Budd, had passed into the brighter world. The funeral services were held at the home and the large concourse of friends and the floral offerings showed the high esteem in which she was held. Through her death the neighborhood has lot a true christian helper and sympathizer; the family has lost a true wife and mother, whose loss can never be regained. Th efuneral services were conduced by Elder Gephart. (Clare Sentinel, May 27, 1898, page 8)

On August 26, 2017, Dick Bolt submitted the following:

"Julia Garrah (Garraw, Garrow, etc.) Julia's actual 1st born was in Canada. A son, George Thomas Bolt b. Nov. 1864 was brought to US with her. Died July 26, 1929. George was 6 yrs. old in 1870 US census & falsely listed as a Budd in the household of Julia & William. William Budd married George's mother (Julia Garrow) 14 May 1868 in Summit County OH. Marriage document does not mention being married before & Canadian records conforming birth & father were never found. Julia info had father as Thomas Bolt. George was my grandfather."
