Funeral services for Leslie Dean Bonnett, 73, of 830 E. 820 N., Provo, who died Wednesday, April 14, 1976 at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City, after a prolonged illness, will be Saturday at noon in the Provo Ninth Ward Chapel, 667 N. 600 E.
Mr. Bonnett was born July 5, 1902 in Provo to Clement J. and Mary Louise Fausett Bonnett. He married Nettie Beesley on Jan. 10, 1922 in Evanston, Wyo.
Mr. Bonnett received his education in Provo City schools. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War I, and served as a sergeant in the Home Guard during World War II.
He had been vice commander for the American Legion. He worked from [for] U.S. Steel Co. and later for American Bridge Co., from where he retired in 1964. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include his widow, one son and three daughters, Max D. Bonnett and Mrs. J. Max (Mildred) Gardiner, both of Orem; Mrs. Verl (Erma) Baum, Tooele; and Mrs. Melvin (Eloise) Martinov, Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother and three sisters, Bert Scott Bonnett and Mrs. Albert (Hazel) Clark, both of California; Mrs. LeRoy (May) Neilson and Mrs. Avon (Norma) Beesley, both of Orem.
