Pickney Ashmore Easler, age 79, of Inman, SC, died Sunday, August 8, 1965 at 10:30 pm in a Tryon, NC, hospital after a short illness.

A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late John Roland "Jack" Easler and Sara A Linder (Easler). He was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church and a retired farmer.

Surviving are his wife, Oddie (Poteat) Easler; eight daughters, Annie Grace Ballenger, Ida Mae West, Louise Condrey, Edna Mosley, and Sarah Davis of Inman, Margaret Gambrell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Vonnie Kate Gwinn of Lyman, and Myra Chapman of Lexington, NC; three sons, Marvin Easler and Ervin Easler of Inman and Watson Easler of Spartanburg; 38 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 10, 1965 at 3:00 p.m. at Rock Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Edward Brown and Rev Leroy Cleveland.

Pallbearers were Ray Easler, Martin Ballenger, Carroll Condrey, Hartwell Condrey, Charles Mosley, Randell Mosley, Larry Davis and Michael Gwinn.

Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
