Myra Easler Chapman, 73, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, March 27, 2005, in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
She was the widow of Rev. C. Richard Chapman (1933-1987) and a daughter of the late Pinkney Ashmore Easler (1886-1965) and Oddie (Poteat) Easler (1880-1976).
She had attended Inman Mills Baptist Church and the Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Orangeburg. She graduated from Furman University and later earned her Master of Education at Indiana University. She was a retired school teacher.
Survivors include a daughter, Crystal Chapman; a son, Steve Chapman; three sisters, Sarah Davis, Kate Gwinn, Edna Mosley; and a brother, Ervin Easler. There are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters, Annie Grace Ballenger, Margaret Gambrell, Ida Mae Brown, Louise Condrey; and two brothers, Marvin and Watson Easler.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at the Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, South Carolina, with Rev. Duane Houston officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
