Willard lived for many years in Fulton, working as a contractor and builder, moving to Weedsport seven years prior to his death. He took up farming in his later years. Survived by his (2nd) wife Charlotte, the former Mrs. Charlotte Morrill Petley who he married in 1940; a son, Edward J. Ford of Fulton; a daughter, Mrs. Martin (Pearl) Milhan of Fulton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Abram (Katherine) LaDue of Weedsport; a brother, Warren Ford of McDonough; and four grandchildren.
