C. E. McGinniss

C. E. McGinniss, died at the home of his son, George F. McGinniss, Caroline County, September 16 at 3:30 p.m.

He had been in declining health for two years, though not confined to his bed and his death was not unexpected. He is survived by two sons, George F. McGinniss, Moss Neck; Ashton McGinniss, Weedonsville; and an adopted son, Lawrence McGinniss, Comorn.

Six grandchildren also survive him. In addition he is survived by one brother and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Shiloh Baptist church September 18 at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. C. W. Storke and internment was in church cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Willie Grigsby, Levi DeShazo, Ashby Frank, Cyrus Lee, Charley Harris and Mason Strother, all J. O. U. A. M. members. Honorary pallbearers were other Jr. members, his nephews and Dr. M. W. Minor, and Dr. C. G. Williams.

Mr. McGinniss had been a member of the Junior order for 25 years.
