Mrs. Holter Passes Away; Rites Monday
Our community was saddened by the death of Mrs. Clarence Holter, 53, which occured Thursday at Barrett hospital following a lingering illiness.
Marie Boger Holter was born Sept. 24. 1901 in Dillon, her parents being the late Fredrick and Katherine Boger. She was educated in the Dillon public schools, graduating from Beaverhead county high school and Western Montana College of Education.
She was married to Clarence T. Holter in Las Vegas, Nev., July 18, 1939.
Mrs. Holter had served as secretary of the Dillon Public school for 20 years, from 1920 through 1939.
She accepted a position with the Davis Motors in 1943 and continued as an employee of Berger Cochrane when they became the owners.
Her mother passed away Sept. 12 of this year.
She had been a lifetime resident of Dillon and a member of St. Rose Catholic church.
Survivors include the husband, a brother-in-law and sister Mr.and Mrs. Orrin E. Babb of Mapleton, Ia; brothers and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Boger of Gooding, Ida; Mr. and Mrs. Waldron W. Boger of Dillon; a cousin Hank Toomey and sister-in-law Mrs. Inez Holter of Butte and nices and nephews Reginald, Sharon and George Babb, Mari Elin, Freddie and Kerry Boger, Kathy Boger, Tom Holter and Mrs. Margarett Rask.
Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 8 o'clock at Brundage Chapek and requiem mass will be celebrated at St. Rose church at 10 a.m. Monday.
