ALGER, FORREST D. (Duke) age 64 yrs. of New Market died 02 Jan 1996 in the Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Born 18 Dec 1931 in Page Co. s/o the late Solon J. & Lena L. Burns Alger. He served with the US Army for 12 yrs. During that time he served in Italy, Korea & Vietnam. Sons, C. Bruce Alger of New Market, Larry D. Alger of Harrisonburg, Terry M. Alger of New Market & Anthony Dale Simmons-Alger of Gainesville, Ga. Daughters, Melody J. Hinderer of Drums, Pa. & Glory J. Polk of New Market. Sisters, Blanche Seal of Hagerstown, Md., Ruth Whetzel of Toms Brook, Maxine Wine of New Market & Mary C. Alger of Stanley. Brother, Harry E. Alger of Hagerstown, Md. 7 grandchildren. Preceded in death by the following sister & brothers, Clifford Alger of Stanley, Medford Alger of New Market, Helen M. Dove of New Market, Kirby M. (Mick) Alger of Stanley & Avis C. Alger of Quicksburg. Interment in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery at New Market.
