William E. Campbell died at his home in Stockwell at 8 o’clock Tuesday morning of a complication of diseases. He was born in Ross County, Ohio, Sep 22, 1837, the son of James and Susan Campbell. He spent most of his life in Lauramie township. He served in the civil war, being a member of Company E. 15th Indiana infantry.
He was a devout member of the Methodist church at Stockwell. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sallie Comer, of Jonesboro, Ark. And Mrs. Minnie Horner, of Minot. N. D. two step-daughters, Mrs. Maud Royer, of Stockwell, and Mrs. Jessie Colvert, of Rairdon, Ill, and one brother, Oliver Campbell, of Clarks Hill. The funeral is to be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, at the Stockwell M. E. church. Rev. W. K. Ingalis of Westville officiating. Burial in the Stockwell Cemetery.
