Married William W. Campbell on 25 October 1883 in Tippecanoe County.
==========================================
Mrs. William Campbell was fatally burned yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at her home at Stockwell while cleaning a stove and died early this morning. Mrs. Campbell who was sixty-three years old, was cleaning a range with gasoline which had spilled on her apron and hands. She left the range to stir some tomato butter which she was cooking on a gasoline stove and her clothing caught fire. She rushed to the back yard, where her screams attracted the attention of her daughter, Mrs. John Royer, who lives next door. All attempts to put out the fire in the aged woman's clothing were futile and she was burned over her entire body. After her clothing had nearly all been burned off the blaze was extinguished and she was carried into her home and Dr. Thompson, of Stockwell was called. Mrs. Campbell was in great pain and suffered terribly until 1:20 o'clock this morning when she died. She was conscious until a few minutes before she passed away.
