Funeral services for Pansy Joyce Foree, 73, of Cadiz, will be conducted on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 2 p.m., at Braun Colonial Funeral Home in Cahokia, Ill. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements and local visitation.
Revs. Leslie Joyce and Mike Wimberly officiated at the services. Burial will be at Vahalla Cemetery in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Foree died on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 9:55 p.m., at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., from injuries received from an accidental fire.
Mrs. Foree was born on July 3, 1934, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Bailey U. and Ruby Irene Shaw Joyce.
Mrs. Foree was a retired Beautician; was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW; Emmeth Lodge; West Ky. Regional Model A Club; and was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Joyce, Leonard Joyce, and Eura Joyce; two sisters, Mamie Taylor and Clara Smith; and two sisters in infancy.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Foree of Cadiz; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jeff Gordon of Smithton, Ill.; step daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Gary Jones of St. Louis, Mo.; step son, Brian Foree of Troy, Ill.; brother, Joe Joyce of Cadiz; grandchildren, Chrissy Jackson, Amanda Maschhoff, Michael Maschhoff; step grandchildren, Jessica Gordon, Addison Gordon, Brandon Jones, Courtney Olson, Clayton Jones, Matt Foree, and J.D. Foree; great-grandchild, Christopher Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Clayton Jones, vocalist, provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Matt Foree, J.D. Foree, Brandon Jones, Clayton Jones, Michael Maschhoff, and Dan Olson.
