James Shelley Adams, of Johnston, dies Saturday, July 17, 1993, at Aiken Nursing Home.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnston First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Andrew Shull and Lowell Clark officiating. Burial will be in Mount of Olives Cemetery.
A native of Salley, Mr. Adams was a son of the late W.L. and Mary Stillinger Adams. He was the widower of Helen Berry Adams. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was retired as a mechanical engineer from Du Pont. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Salley.
Survivors include a daughter, Dalma Patricia Adams; two brothers, W.L. Adams Jr. and Maxie Adams, both of Salley; and five sisters, Sue Lee Hall, Nita Hallman, Lottie Williamson and Nona Faye Walker, all of Salley, and Margaret Bigbee, Aiken.
The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. today at Bland Funeral Home.
