SALLEY -- Services for Maxie Edward Adams, 69, of Walnut Street., will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Salley Baptist Church, with burial in Salley Oakview Cemetery. The Revs. Henry Cooper and David Coleman will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. tonight at Folk Funeral Home in Williston.
Mr. Adams died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Born in Salley, he was a son of the late William L. Adams Sr. and Mary Stillinger Adams. He was a member of Salley BAptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Mr. Adams was a retired manager of Talley Corbett Box Company in Springfield. He was a member of Dean Swamp Lodge 172 (Masonic).
Surviving are his wife, Betty Miller Adams of the home; daughters, Deborah Adams of Seneca and Robin Hanshaw of Fairview; a son, Rick Adams of Greenville; sisters, Nita Hallman of Springfield, Lottie Williamson of Salley, Margaret Bigbee of Aiken, Sue Lee Hall of Salley and Nona Faye Walker of Salley; brother, W.L. Adams Jr., of Salley; grandchildren, Bailey Adams and Katelyn Hanshaw.
