THE PARIS NEWS, Jul. 11, 2005: 'COMMERCE, Dorothy Elizabeth Moore Smith, 68, entered into rest Friday, July 8, 2005, at Paris Healthcare in Paris. Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Deport Cemetery under the direction of Jones-Walker Funeral Home in Commerce. She was born June 1, 1937, in Lamar County, the daughter of Willie Marion and Ellde Jenigan Moore. She married Kalen Benet Smith on Nov. 9, 1963, in Paris. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2004. She moved to a nursing home, the victim of Alzheimer's Disease a few years back. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Billy Mac Moore and Archie Moore; two sisters, Ruth Moore Jackson and Joyce Moore Taylor. She is survived by two brothers, Wendell Moore and wife, Onedia, of Paris, Ray Moore and wife, Greta, of Sherman and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
