Mrs. Clark Dies; Rites Tomorrow At Saluda
SALUDA - Mrs. Kella Franklin Clark, 82, died at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. R. H. Taylor in Charleston, following a short illness.
She was the widow of Joe Clark and a daughter of the late Milledge and Elizabeth Smith Franklin of Edgefield County. She had made her home in Saluda for the last two years with a daughter, Mrs. E. D. Johnson.
Mrs. Clark was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church, the WSCS, the UDC Chapter and a charter member of the WCTU Chapter.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. H. C. Woodward, Bishopville; Mrs. J. H. Walker, Cayce, and Mrs. E. R. Clark, Mt. Pleasant; three half-sisters, Mrs. Lether Cartledge, North Augusta; Mrs, Olive Strom and Mrs. Annabel Reams, Columbia; one half- brother, the Rev. John E. Jackson, Columbia.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. Paul Church, Saluda, Friday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Charles A. Graves. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Johnston.
The body is at Ramey Funeral Home.
