Annie Sophia Hansen emigrated with parents Peter Hansen & Johanne Sophie Jensdatter Hansen in a company of 565 Latter-Day Saints from Copenhagen, Denmark on 9 May 1859 on the ship "WALDEMAR" and arrived in Keil, Germany on 10 May 1859 (see LDS/FHL Film# 025696). Here the LDS company was split with about 200 people taking the train to Altona and about 169 taking the train to Hamburg. The 1st company (200 people) left Altona on the ship "BRITANNIA" on 10 May 1859 and arrived in Hull, England on 12 May 1859. The 2nd company (169 people) left Hamburg on the ship "EUGENIA" on 11 May 1859 and arrived in Grimsby, England on 13 May 1859. Both companies took a train to Liverpool. On 16 May 1861 Peter, Johanne and Annie Sophia left Liverpool on the ship "MONARCH OF THE SEA" and arrived in New York on 19 June 1861(see LDS/FHL Film# 025691). They took a train from New York to St. Joseph, Missouri where they boarded a river boat and arrived in Florence Nebraska on the 1st or 2nd of July 1861. At Florence they outfitted with the "Samuel Wooley" wagon train (61 wagons, 338 people) and departed on 13 Jul 1861 and arrived in Salt Lake City on 22 Sep 1861(See Journal History 22 Sep 1861, p. 2-11.).
