Mrs. Mary E. Wagner

Mrs. Mary Ellen Wagner, East Main Street, Newville, widow of W. Sharp Wagner, died on Saturday at the home of her son, Leon K. Wagner. She was 86 years old.

Mrs. Wagner was born near Wolf's Bridge, Cumberland County, a daughter of the late John and Cathering (sic) Wetzel Wolf, and lived most of her life at Wolf's Bridge. She lived with her son since the death of her husband in 1956. She was a member of St. Matthews United Church of Christ, Carlisle Springs, since May 15, 1886.

In addition to her son, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Cora Wolf Henry, Loysville, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Matthew Church. Rev. Clara C. Settlemire will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow night at the Lutz-Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover Street, and at the church on Thursday from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Carlisle Springs, for Mrs. Mary Ellen Wagner, 86, who died Saturday, Jan. 31 at the home of her son, Leon K. Wagner, East. Main st. (sic), Newville.

She was the widow of W. Sharpe Wagner and a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ at Carlisle Springs since 1886.

Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Cora Wolf Henry, Loysville; five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Rev. Clare E. Settlemire officiated and interment was in the Westminster cemetery (sic) in Carlisle.
