Mrs. Catherine (sic) Wolf, widow of John Wolf, for many years a prominent farmer of Middlesex township, died this morning, at eleven o'clock, aged 37 years. She was a loving mother and kind neighbor and a member for many years of the Reformed church (sic) at Carlisle Springs. Mrs. Wolf is survived by six children: Harvey,of South Middleton; Raymond, of North Middleton. Mrs. Annie Brindle, near Carlisle: Mrs. W. Sharpe Wagner, Middlesex township; and Mrs. Cora Henry and Charles, at home. Harry Wetzel, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Carlisle, is a brother, and the last of the family.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Rev C.P. Kehl, of Carlisle, officiated at the funeral of Mrs. Catherine Wolf, Middlesex township, this morning, and relatives were the pallbearers.

The funeral of Catharine Wetzel, widow of John Wolf, a prominent farmer of Middlesex Township, was held July 18, in the Carlisle Springs Church, Pa. She was the daughter of John and Catharine Wise Wetzel, born in North Middleton Township, November 11th, 1833. In June 1852, she united with the Reformed Church and remained a consistent member until the time of her demise. For more than 50 years she read the "Reformed Church Messenger," the official Church paper, and retained all her faculties through all her 87 years. Her marriage occured (sic) November 10th, 1864. She was a loyal wife and loving mother, and she leaves to deeply mourn her loss six children: Harvey Wolf, Mrs. William Brindel (sic), Raymond Wolf, Mrs. Sharp Wagoner (sic), Mrs. Frank Henry and Charles, at home; also 20 grand children and six great-grand children; and one brother, Henry Wetzel, the last survivor of his family. Six grandsons ______ for pallbearers. Rev. C.P. Kehl officiated. The funeral was largely attended. The floral tributes were very beautiful. She was tenderly laid to rest and now awaits the call of the Life-giver.
