VISITATION FOR JAMES JEFFRIES WILL BE TODAY

Visitation for James L. Jeffries of Mountain Home will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Fielding Funeral Home at Chariton, Iowa. Mr. Jeffries died Tuesday, March 15, 1988 at Baxter County Regional Hospital. He was 85.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Fielding Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tompsie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Chariton Cemetery at Chariton, Iowa.

He is survived by two sisters, Lela Dickerson of Russell, Iowa, and Donna Mason of Indianapolis, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zella Jeffries; three brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Jeffries was a retired general plant manager for Ditzler Color Factory. Formerly of Detroit, Mich., he had been a resident of Mountain Home since 1966. He was born Aug. 1, 1903, at Confidence, Iowa, to the late Edward and Emma Morlan Jeffries. Mr. Jeffries was Protestant.
