Wife of William T Allen and d/o Traviss Pritchartt and Rosa Buckley of Fairfax VA. Moved from Fairfax VA bet 1857 and 1860 to Pettis Co MO. Nov 1, 2009 - we are unable to find burials for any Pritchartt's in Fairfax Co to date.
She was a grandchild of Lewis Samuel Pritchartt and Frances possibly born MASON. This is under study Sept 2010.

Her sister Mary A Pritchartt married Robert Whaley of Fairfax and remained there. Her brother Lewis Samuel Pritchartt remained in Fairfax and operated Hotels. Lewis died in 1860. It was her brother Lewis Pritchartt who operated/owned the famous Marshall House in Alexandria Va. He sold it to James Jackson before 1860 - where the first casualty of the civil war began as James Jackson shot Col Ellsworth then was shot by Union upon his act.

10/15/2015 Our interest is in the name PRITCHARTT and spelled that way, not Pritchett or Pritchard. This family used that prarticular spelling to this day and is the only one in America to date - all connected.

May 11, 2022 of interest:

Pursuant to a decree of the county Court of Fairfax requiring it of us the the subscribers have pro ceded to make an equal division of the slaves in said decree mentioned as follows to with. We allot to William T ALLEN and wife, Negroes LUCY and MARIA appraised to Two hundred and Fifty dollars, to Lewis PRITCHARTT, Negroes JANE and SAMPSON appraisement Two hundred and Thirty Dollars and to Mary PRITCHARTT , Negro ELIZA appraisement to Three hundred dollars. This so fin is nearest and equal division in kind that can be made, but not being worthy? so in value, we direct that Mary PRITCHARTT do pay to William T ALLEN and wife the same of Ten dollars and that she pay to Lewis PRITCHARTT the sum of Thirty dollars. Interesting update 2023 - slave Lucy came with the Allen's and can be found in their house 1880 census as Lucy Allen. Still searching for her children and believe they came also\
