Regina B. Paden, 91, Jefferson City, died Feb. 2, 2003, at Green Meadow Nursing Center, Linn.
She was born Sept. 26, 1911, in Linn, a daughter of Herman and Catherine Schroeder Maasen. She was married April 17, 1932, in Jefferson City, to John A. Paden, who died Sept. 6, 1997.
A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, she attended St. George School in Linn. She and her husband owned and operated Paden Motor Company and the Carriers Verification Company for many years prior to retirement in 1982. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the St. Ann Sodality and Immaculate Conception Circle. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella and St. Mary's Health Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert L. Paden, Quincy, Ill., and David C. Paden, Jefferson City; two daughters, Arlene McVey, Jefferson City, and Cynthia Stone, Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Clara Paschal, Linn; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Thomas Alber will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, at Freeman Mortuary, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the
Helias Foundation.
