PASCHAL Clara Gertrude Paschal, 97, of Linn, died Friday, June 15, 2007, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Care in Linn. She was born November 18, 1909, in Linn Twp., Osage County, the daughter of Peter H. (b. 22 Feb 1872 Osage Co., d. 7 Feb 1944 - JC) and Catherine Marie Schroeder (b. 28 Mar 1874 Linn, d. 23Jul 1945 - JC ) Maasen. She was married June 28, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo., to Rudolph Amos Paschal, b. 26 Oct 1896-Linn Twp. who preceded her in death on December 27, 1994-JC. Mrs. Paschal was a member of St. George Church, St. Ann's Sodality and the Sewing Club. She served funeral lunches for 26 years. Clara was a homemaker. She was also employed by Linn Manufacturing for over 30 years. Survivors include: two sons, Melvin Bernard Paschal (no dates, m. Esther Margaret Voss May 3, 1952 Linn - b. May 1934 Linn, d/o Bernard H. Voss and Agnes R. Thoenen) and wife Esther of Odessa, Texas, and Kenneth William Paschal (no dates or any other data) and wife Catherine Ann Kuster of Linn; five grandchildren, Sandra June Paschal (no dates),m. Armando Ruzi, Susan Louise Dodgen (no dates or other data), Patsy (Patricia Sue) Helmig, Jim (James William) Paschal and Peggy Ann Mantle; six great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Alan Wayne Paschal (no dates); and six siblings, Herman Leo Maasen (no dates)(b. 15 Jan 1901-Linn, d. 23 Oct 1982-Plattsmouth, Neb, m. Clara Jaegers, b. 12 Jun 1905) Rose Anna Slicker (no dates)(b. 15 Nov 1897-Linn, d. 28 Aug 1977. I have her m. to John Stricker, b. 17 Mar 1898) , Wilhelmina Johanna Ruettgers (no dates (b. 6 Feb 1907-Linn, d. 12 Aug 1981-Linn ), Veronica Markway, Sophia Henrietta Arras, and Regina Bernadine ( b. 26 Sep 1911 - Linn)Paden. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at Morton Funeral Home in Linn. Funeral Ma ss will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 18, at St. George Church with Rev. Father I.C. Medina officiating. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. George School. Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn, (573)897-2214.
