Harrison Sherwood, 90, 908 W. Fuson Road, died early Saturday in Parkview Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born in Franklin County, spent his early years in Henry County where he attended school, and came to Delaware County about 1912.
Mr. Sherwood was a farmer most of his life and was also a self-employed truck driver for many years. He was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mable Adams and Ruth Goad, both of Muncie; four sons, Harry, Charles, and Richard, all of Muncie, and George, Sarasota, Fla.; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. His wife, Grace Shriver Sherwood, died in 1975.
Services will be in Meeks Mortuary at 3 p.m. Monday, with Rev. Earl McCall, pastor of Corinth United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. today or one half hour before services on Monday.
