Mrs. Ella J. Redmond, 87, formerly of 1725 S. High, died today in the Morgan-Nichols Nursing Home after a long illness. Mrs. Redmond was born in Franklin County and came to Muncie with her husband, Charles Redmond, in 1926. Before coming to Muncie, Mr. and Mrs. Redmond lived in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. John Brown, Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Elizabeth Hines, St. Joe, Mo., Mrs. Walter Bunner, Muncie, and Mrs. Alcie Bunner, Springport; two brothers, Harrison Sherwood, RR 2, and Raymond Sherwood, Muncie.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Meeks Mortuary with burial following in Beech Grove Cemetery. Callers will be received at the mortuary from 3 and 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the services Wednesday.
