Bertha H. Ast Roths, 85, homemaker died Wednesday, May 28, 2003. Service 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colwich, graveside service 1:30 p.m. Saturday, St. Joe Cemetery, Ost, KS.
Mrs. Roths was born Jan. 24, 1918 in Haven, KS, to the late John A. and Elizabeth F. Irsik Ast. On Aug. 13, 1941, she married Raymond Roths at St. Joe, Ost, KS. She was a member of the Alter Society and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, both of Colwich. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John and Stephen and sister, Bernetta.
Survivors: husband, Raymond; brothers, Victor Ast of Garden Plain, Raphael Ast of Haven, Melvin Ast of Colwich; sisters, Angela Roper, Bernice May both of Colwich, Gertrude Raple of Mt. Hope, Viola Nuessen of Garden Plain, Virginia Winter of Conway Springs, Joan Allen of Denver; numerous nephews and nieces. Memorials established with St. Jude's Children Hospital.
