GARDEN PLAIN - Nuessen, Viola C. (Ast), 82, passed away on November 24, 2004. Viola was born December 14, 1921 on a farm near Haven, KS, the daughter of John A. & Elizabeth (Irsik) Ast. She attended school at St. Joseph Catholic School in Ost and graduated from Andale High School in 1940. On May 20, 1946 she married August E. Nuessen in Ost. They raised their family in Conway Springs and moved to Garden Plain in 1990. She retired from LearJet in 1986. Rosaries 2 pm and 5 pm Sunday, with the family in Church basement between rosaries to visit with family and friends; funeral Mass 10:30 am Monday, all at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Father David Linnebur will celebrate the Mass.
