Services for John A. Ast, 80, a retired Colwich farmer, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Church, Colwich. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ost, Kan. Rosaries will be said at 8:30 and 9:15 p.m. in Seiler Funeral Home, Colwich. He died Monday.

Born in Ost, Kan., he lived most of his life in Reno and Sedgick counties.

Survivors include his widow, Elizabeth; three sons, Victor, Conway Springs, Kan., Raphael, Haven, Kan., and Melvin, Colwich; seven daughters, Mrs. Angela Roper, Colwich, Mrs. Bernice May, Mrs. Virginia Winter, and Mrs. Viola Neussen, all of Conway Springs, Mrs. Bertha Roths, Haven, Mrs. Gertrude Raple, Mount Hope, Mrs. Joan Allen, Louisville, Ky.; a brother, Ben, Garden Plain, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ech, Sharon. Kan., and Mrs. Carrie Reh, Williamsburg, Kan.
