A retired employee of Wilson's Jewelers and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, 1996. She was 78 and a native of Morrow.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 9:40 a.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Gary Belsome. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.

Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alicia "Lee" and Robert Carr, Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Herbert "Butch" Ducote III and Stephanie Ducote, Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Liz Meador and her husband, Barry, Randy Carr and Duane Ducote; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Amber and Zachary Meador; and a brother, T.H. Eiland, El Paso, Texas.

Preceded in death by parents, James A. Eiland Sr. and Etna Agnes Hebert Eiland; three brothers and a sister.

She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
