Survived by wife, Lelia Rabalais Eiland, Bunkie; a daughter, Susan E. Bordelon, Birmingham, Ala.; a son, Jerry Eiland, Bunkie; a sister, Cathy Eiland, Baton Rouge; a brother, T.H. Eiland, El Paso, Texas; and three grandchildren.
He was past member of Associated General Contractors, a charter board member of Avoyelles Savings and Loan, past chairman of the board of Pelican Homestead-Bunkie Branch, and a charter board member of Bayou Vista Manor Nursing Home, Bunkie.
