Lee was preceded in death by her father, Herbert H. Ducote, Jr.; mother, Catherine Ducote Eiland; and her brother, Herbert H. Ducote III.
Lee was very happily married to her High School sweetheart, Robert "Bob" M. Carr, for 58 & 1/2 years. Lee graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1959.
Lee always enjoyed her trips with Mary Ann and Bobbie to Forrest Hill to get new plants and spend the day out. In addition to her husband, Lee is survived by her daughter, Laura "Liz" Meador-Rayburn and son-in-law Johnny; and her son, James "Randy" Carr. She is also survived by three grandsons, Jordan Meador (Megan), Zachary Meador (Chandler), and Dylan Rayburn; a granddaughter, Amber Nicole Sonier (Josh); 5 great-granddaughters; and 3 great-grandsons.
Lee retired from Hibernia National Bank (formerly Fidelity National Bank), Mortgage Loans Dept., as an Administrative Vice President, and later retired from JCN Financial Group. Lee was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
Arrangements entrusted to Rabenhorst Funeral Home East. At Lee's request, private burial will follow cremation at a later date.
