Mrs. Garver died Saturday at Pinckneyville Community Hospital after a long illness.
She was born Jan. 29, 1896, in Jackson County, to James and Callie Manor Casteel.
On Feb. 17, 1921, in Granite City, she married Perry H. Kain, who preceded her in death.
On March 16, 1945, in Benton, she married H. Roth Garver, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a stepson, Raymond Garver of Ava; stepdaughters, Dorothy Strothmann of North Tonawanda, N.Y. and Ruth McCann of Murphysboro; a brother, William Casteel of Ava; a sister, Bernice Woodward of Pinckneyville; and three step-grandchildren.
Five sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
The Rev. Norval Bard will officiate with burial in Ava Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Ava.
