Mrs. Sharp, 71, of Philadelphia, MS, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia.

She was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of the Beatline Community. She was retired from Wells-Lamont and operated Sharp Grocery in the Bethsaida Community with her husband for several years. Mrs. Sharp was a member of Beatline Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Sharp in 2004; parents, Ethel J. and Audry Coats, stepmother, Ruth Coats; brothers, Tommy Coats and Carl Junior Coats and niece, Pene Coats.

Survivors include three brothers, Grady Coats (Lina) of Anniston, AL, Joe Coats (Judy), Benjie Coats (Reina), all of Philadelphia; three nieces, Pam Cunningham (Don) of Union, Apryle Mather (Richard) of Mobile, AL, and Jennifer Maxwell (Joe) of Calgary, Canada; five nephews, Steve Coats (Dana) of Birmingham, AL, Joey Coats (Patricia) of Collinsville, Mark Coats of Brandon, James Coats (Vicki), and Jeffery Coats (Consuela), all of Philadelphia; and numerous great nieces and nephews and their families.
