Funeral services for Robert E. Lee Dudney, 84, retired accountant who had lived here thirty-three years, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the East Dallas Christian Church, Peak and Junius.
The Rev. W. A. Welsh, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Dudney died Wednesday night at his home, 3424 Amherst, after a short illness.
A native of Mississippi, Dudney moved to Memphis, Tenn., as a boy, and then to Gainsboro, Tenn., where he lived for many years. About sixty years ago, he moved to Alvarado, Johnson County. Three years later he married the former Miss Sarah Stead of that town. She died about seven years ago, shortly after their golden wedding anniversary.
Dudney was a member of the East Dallas Christian Church.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas E. Dudney of New York City, Shelby S. Dudney of San Francisco, Calif., and Phil Q. Dudney of Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. James E. Spurgin, Mrs. J. Allen Phillips and Mrs. Harry E. Hudspeth, all of Dallas, and Mrs. David A. Williams of Los Angeles, Calif.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
