E. A. Comer was born at Gamaliel, KY, June 18, 1870. He passed away October 22, 1939. He leaves his wife, Ida H. Comer, one daughter, Mrs. Alvin Cordell, of Tulsa; three sons, Moss and Neil Comer of Odessa, TX, and Edgar Junior of the home address; one brother, O. T. Comer of West Plains, MO; two sisters, Mrs. Lue Boone of Tulsa, and Mrs. Bertha Elleby of Modesto, CA; three grandchildren and a host of relatives and sorrowing friends.

He was united in marriage to Eliza M. Aldridge, October 20, 1892. To this Union there were four children, Mrs. Alta Cordell, Tulsa, Moss, and Neil of Odessa, TX, and Claude Oris, who died in infancy. Mrs. Eliza Comer departed this life November 15, 1913. On January 6, 1918 he was married to Ida H. Perryman of Oklahoma City, at Pawhuska, OK. To this union one son was born Edgar Junior.

Mr. Comer came to Hominy 23 years ago. He professed faith in Christ at the age of 16. He united with the first Christian Church at GalKentucky, later, transferring his membership to Gainesville, Missouri, and then affiliating with the first Christian church in Hominy. he became a master Mason in 1893 at Gamaliel, KY. In March 1920 he took the Scottish Rite Degree, and later became a member of the Mystic Shrine. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen 40 years.

He was graduated from the University of Kentucky, and taught school for 10 years at Gainesville, MO. After this, he moved to Drumright, and entered the mercantile business. He disposed of this business to enter into teaming and trucking in Hominy, during the year 1917, where he has made his home, since, with exception of four years at Maud, OK.
