John Edward Tuhey, 81, 820 W. North St., died Wednesday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Muncie, but lived in Buffalo form 1923 until his retirement in 1955 at which time he returned to Muncie. He was employed as a control tower operator at Buffalo Airport for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Clara Williams Tuhey; a sister, Mrs. Erma Fillman, Grosse Pointe, Mich.; a brother, Fred M. Tuhey, Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Meeks Mortuary at 11 a.m. Friday with Dr. S. Walton Cole, pastor of High Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and any time before services Friday.
