Mrs. Catherine Joerger, 91, a resident of the Tazewell County Nursing Home died at 12:10 p. m. Tuesday in Pekin Public Hospital. She had been a patient five days.
Her funeral will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, with the Rev. Herbert T. Tetzlaff officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation was to begin at Abts Mortuary at 2 p. m. Wednesday.
She was born Dec. 14, 1864, in Ostfriesland, Germany, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Tammen. She was married to William Joerger in 1889 at Minonk. He died in 1928.
Surviving are a son, Clarence, Pekin; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren Two sons and a daughter preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, the Martha Society and the Royal Neighbors of America.
