FREDERICK GROTHAUS DEAD

Frederick Wilhelm Grothaus, who came to Hastings in 1885, died Monday at his home six miles southwest of here. He was 74 years of age.

Surviving him are his wife, two sons, Harry and John; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Elschen ,Ayr; Mrs. Lydia Forrett, Daugherty, la.; Mrs. Minnie Placke, Roseland, and Elizabeth; one sister, Mrs. Louise Pedrett of Kimball; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services are to be at the Lutheran Church one mile west and four miles south of Ingleside Thursday, December 22, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
