Charles F Craig, 70, of Route 1, Marion, died Saturday, March 29, 1980 in the Marion Memorial Hospital.

Mr Craig was a retired general construction foreman for the Bureau of Prisons. He was a veteran of World War II with the rank of captain. He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Marion and the Marion Elks Lodge No 800.

He was born July 30, 1909, in De Soto, to Frederick and Alta Teabeau Craig. He married Margery Padgett Sept 21, 1941 in Corinth, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Craig.

Survivors include his wife of Route 1 Marion, two daughters, Barbara McAlister and Candy Lewis both of Marion; two sisters, Vivian Bridges of De Soto and Jane Schwartz of South Elgin; two brothers, Dr Albert T Craig of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Calvert Craig of Tampa, Fla., and five grandchildren.

Services will be a 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Wilson Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be in Carterville Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. to day at the funeral home.
