__Engineer Harry Titzel was part of a Rock Island Line switching crew. On the early morning of March 1, 1915 the engine went out of control. He jumped before the engine collided with the Northwestern Mail train Number 23. Eight other men were injured. An account of the accident is in the Evening Times-Republican newspaper published in Marshalltown, Iowa, March 1, 1915.
