DEATH OF DELOS ROBESON
Mr. Harvey Delos Robeson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Robeson. He was born at Morning Sun, Iowa, March 29, 1858. He was 63 years, seven months and twenty days old at the time of his death. He passed away very suddenly. On Thursday evening he had been in town and attended the lecture given in the hall. When he retired that night he seemed as well as he had been for some time. In the morning he failed to respond to the call to get up, and when his sister, Mrs. Frazee, with whom he was staying at the time, went to his bedside she found he was dead. On January 4, 1889, he was married to Miss May Scott at Page Center, Page County, Iowa. They went at once to Benkelman, Nebraska, and established their home on a farm where they lived until the wife's failing health compelled them to make a change. His wife survives him, but she has been an invalid for many years. He was one of nine children, four of whom preceded him to the other world, and four survive him. The four who survive are Mrs. Kate Frazee of Summerfield, Mr. Russell Robeson of Centralia, Kansas, and Mr. James Robeson and Mrs. Elisabeth Knox of Sterling, Kansas. In early manhood he united with the church at Page Center, Iowa. For a number of years he had not been in vigorous health, and during the last year it had been noticed that he was failing more rapidly. In his departure there has passed from us a quiet, unassuming, hard working christian citizen. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon in the United Presbyterian church, and the burial was in the Summerfield cemetery.
