The body of Mr. James D. Lisle, who died in the asylum at Lexington Tuesday afternoon, was brought to this city on the Chesapeake & Ohio train at noon Wednesday and buried in the Winchester cemetery. Mr. Lisle was a native of Clark county and was the oldest son of Mr. Clayborne Lisle, who died two weeks ago.
Mr. Lisle was 68 years old and had been ill and confined to his bed for nearly twenty years. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Nancy Hampton before her marriage, and nine children, three boys, Jesse, Thornton and Charles, and six daughters, Mrs. Walter Quisenberry, Mrs. H.G. Conkwright, Mrs. Catesby Woodford, Mrs. Virgil L. Hiett and Misses Ethel and Virginia Lisle. Funeral services were conducted at the grave by Rev. Richard French.
