Winchester, Ky, Jan. 18 - Mr. Claiborne Lisle died at his home at 1:30 Tuesday morning. The burial will be at the Winchester cemetery at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The services at the grave will be by Elders R. French and J.W. Harding. The pall-bearers will be the grandchildren one from each family. They are Charles Lisle, Harvey Lisle, Ben Duckworth, N.W. Lisle, Sam Hodgkin, Jr. and Ernest Lisle.
Mr. Lisle was born in the county on July ?0, 1820. His father was James Lisle, a son of John Lisle who moved to Clark county from Virginia about 1777. The maiden name of Claiborne Lisle's mother was Nancy George. His grandmother was a daughter of Valentine Martin, said to have been born in the old fort at Boonesboro. Mr. Lisle was the last of a family of eight. He was married to Esther Hampton in 1841. She died May 26, 1878. They were the parents of eleven children, five are now living - J.D. Lisle, Mrs. Henry Oliver, D.C. Lisle, Thoms Lisle and Mrs. Minerva Hodgkin.
