Dennis Carroll LANHAM (22 Apr 1943 - 26 Jun 1996) (from the effects of diabetes)
Sophomore year transfer from Cisco High School. After he graduated Abilene High in 1961 he moved back to Cisco and attended Cisco Junior College. After Junior College, Dennis moved to Fort Worth for a period before returning to Abilene where he married Sandra "Sandy" MARTIN, of Clyde June 18, 1964. During 1964/5, he reluctantly served in Vietnam as Sgt. US Marines with high honor earning a Silver Star, Purple Heart and 2 G.S.
He and Sandy had two daughters. The family lived in Red Oak, TX for a number of years. While working in his home construction business, Dennis suffered a fall which led to other complications. On 26 Jun 1996, he died from the effects of diabetes in Dallas.
