Mrs. Elma S. Rice, 82, wife of George Frederick Rice, widely known Sebastopol resident, died at her Wilton Street home in Sebastopol this morning. She had been in ill health only a short time. Mrs. Rice was a charter member of the Sonoma County Golden wedding Club, also a member of Gold Ridge Chap. #161, Order of Eastern Star & active in the work of the First Methodist Church in Sebastopol. Born in Greenville, Mich. 24 Mar I855. She came to Calif., as a young woman, settling first in Chico & later in Oakland, Ca. She & her husband, whom she married 10-Oct-1877 in Greenville, Mi., moved to Sebastopol in 1908, & have lived there most of that time.
