Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary
Thanksgiving day at the Lloyd G. Satterlee home, at 4lst & Soquel Ave., had a double meaning this year for their family & friends, as the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Garrison Satterlee was celebrated at this time.
Thanksgiving dinner was served at the Grill on the property, which will be opened January lst l932, by Mrs. Hattie Ranney & her brother, A. C. Carroll, who have a lease on the building and fixtures.
Mr. & Mrs. Satterlee were married in Rochester, Oakland Co., Mich. 50 years ago and have resided in Santa Cruz the past six years. Those present at their dinner were (who) at their wedding also were his sister, Mrs. Geo. F. Rice of Sebastopol; Mrs. William Mercer of Santa Cruz, a sister to Mrs. Carrie Cook Satterlee; & Arthur F. Rice, a nephew of Santa Cruz.
Dinner was served in the main dining room of the grill, & nearly fifty people were seated at the long table which was decorated in Autumn flowers.
Those present included Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd G. Satterlee, Mr. & Mrs. Ivan C. Satterlee & Miss Ruth, Master Dean & Hugh Satterlee of Sacramento. Emery C. Satterlee, Chico; Mr. & Mrs. Geo. F. Rice, Sebastopol; Mr. Mrs. Arthur F. Rice; the Misses Barbara, Edith & Ruth Rice & Master Joseph Rice, Santa Cruz; Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Angel, Master Karl Angel & Miss Artene Angel, Palo Alto; Mr. & Mrs. Tully Knowles Jr., of Stockton; Mr. & Mrs. Ivan Livingston & Miss Jean Livingston, Oakland; Mrs. Anna Crittendon, Port Huron, Mich; Mr. & Mrs. Archie B.
